Brian Grogan enlisted in the US Navy in 1983. He graduated from Basic SEAL training (BUD/S Class 131) the following year. His first Team assignment was SDVT-2 in Little Creek, Virginia. Brian spent hundreds of hours underwater conducting ship attacks, submarine operations and water borne reconnaissance missions. After nearly a decade as a Frogman Brian was assigned to Basic Underwater Demotion and SEAL training in Coronado, California, as an instructor. Brian spent almost three years molding men into SEALs before he was billeted to SEAL Team Three. While serving at SEAL Team Three Brian did multiple deployments in support of both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2007 Brian retired from Naval service. He moved is new family to the east coast to take a federal security position with the US Department of Energy. It was shortly after this move and career change that Brian began writing. An artist since a very young age, the desire to tell a story has always been there. Waiting to come out. Waves of Deception (the Marcus Dresden thriller series – book 1) will be the result of that desire and drive.
Brian lives with his wife and two sons on a small homestead in rural Maryland.
